Frederic Thaler, Certified Public Accountant, is a Partner at Dorfman Mizrach & Thaler, LLP, a boutique accounting and consulting firm. Fred began his career in 1992, joining the firm of Apt Kaplan Cohen & Company and was admitted as a partner in 2000.
Fred’s clients range from multi-national corporations to high net worth individuals to sole proprietors. His clientele operates in the real estate, wholesale trade, media, and professional services industries among others. Fred has significant experience in overseeing the accounting function for investor-owned businesses in varied industries. Fred has extensive experience with partnership taxation, including structuring partnership and operating agreements and implementing complex special allocation provisions for limited liability companies.
A tireless advocate for his clients, Fred is frequently called upon to assist in negotiation of investment terms for new client ventures.
In the area of real estate, Fred has extensive experience in providing tax, consulting and accounting services to his clients. His residential, commercial and industrial real estate clients include home builders, adaptive re-use developers, syndicated real estate investment funds, hotel owner/operators, and income producing portfolios.
As a member of the firm’s Litigation and Valuation team, Fred has worked with clients and their attorneys on matters including a variety of shareholder disputes, economic loss claims, and estate and gift valuations.
Fred is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey and New York State Societies of Certified Public Accountants. Fred graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Fred is a CPA in both New Jersey and New York.
